Every child develops at their own pace, and expectations naturally vary by age. Adelphia Kids follows an active daily schedule that includes learning, play, meals, rest, and transitions. Children should be comfortable participating in the everyday routine with age-appropriate guidance and support.
Infants & Toddlers
Children should be comfortable transitioning into a group-care environment and gradually adapting to a consistent daily routine. This includes becoming comfortable with age-appropriate routines for meals, play, transitions, and rest, with guidance and reassurance as needed.
Rest Time
All children participate in a scheduled daily rest period based on their age and individual needs. Infants follow their individual sleep schedules, while toddlers, preschoolers, and older children have a designated rest time. Older children are not required to sleep but are expected to rest quietly.
Toilet-Trained Children
Children who are toilet trained should be able to recognize when they need to use the bathroom and independently manage toileting, including clothing, wiping, and handwashing.
Preschool & Older Children
Children should be able to follow simple directions, participate in group activities, transition between activities, and comfortably follow the everyday program routine with age-appropriate guidance.
Program Readiness
Because our days are active and include both group and independent activities, children should be comfortable participating in a group setting, following everyday routines, and engaging with other children in a safe and positive way.
